Photography is a special type of art, its craftsmanship is based off of principles of science. It is a form of expression that is easily accessible and instantly recognizable although a photographer has dedicated them self to intricately capturing the true quality of the craft.
The City Gallery was created for this purpose: to allow people access to amazing works of photography from some of the finest local artists that Provo/Utah has to offer. Provo has not generally been known as an art scene but The City Gallery has aimed to change that by providing a venue for artists to display their work. The City Gallery will provide a high quality atmosphere while still having the personality of a place locals can enjoy and gain access to talented photographers of all genres.
We have invoked the city of Provo's Downtown Alliance by offering the Provo City Gallery Stroll on the first Friday of every month. This provides people with the exclusive opportunity of experiencing a gallery full of top quality works that can be viewed and also sold at reasonable prices. This monthly exhibition is attended by the artist whose work is being displayed so that our customers can get a personal experience with them and their work.
Here at The City Gallery we sell professionally framed and signed archival prints, often in limited edition. The art is made to sell at affordable prices so that people can have the quality of fine art to decorate their offices and homes with. Because as artists we gain a significant pleasure in allowing someone to own our work and that pleasure is of much higher importance than money.
